Silent Key: Peter Lenges KA9SWI

Peter J. Lenges III, 72, of Nineveh, died Friday, April 21, 2017 in Nineveh.

He was born Oct. 23, 1945, to Joseph and Opal (Brunson) Lenges, in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Peter was an Army veteran and worked as an electrical engineer at Crane Naval Center for 25 years. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator and was well known for that in his community. Peter liked working on genealogies and coin collecting. He was a firearm and Mopar enthusiast. Peter loved fishing, hunting, and all varieties of hot sauce.

New ARRL Indiana Section Manager

The new ARRL Indiana Section Manager will be Brent Walls, N9BA, of Indianapolis. Brent will take office on July 1, 2016.

He is currently one of the Marion County ARES Staff Coordinators and is a Marion County RACES member.

Brent previously served as Indiana’s Section Emergency Coordinator and as Marion County ARES Emergency Coordinator. Brent has also served on the Board of the Indianapolis Repeater Association for several years.

He will serve as the Indiana ARRL Section Manager well.

Brent enjoys Radio Direction Finding as well.
